Early Diagnosis of Partial or Complete Deafness in Children

In a program on Geo TV program Dr Akbar Abbas who is an ENT surgeon, he specializes in otolaryngology, cochlear implants, ear surgery and is one of the few experts on pituitary and head and neck cancer surgery in Pakistan, emphasized the importance of early diagnosis of partial or complete deafness in children. He further added that cochlear implants can help children to be more social, to participate in more activities, and to feel more independent. Overall, cochlear implants can have a significant positive impact on children’s development.
